Growden IO (also known as Grow a Garden) is a multiplayer farming simulator where you turn an empty patch of land into a thriving garden empire. Developed by Legion Games and released in late 2025, it takes the classic "plant and harvest" loop and layers on rare seed hunting, pet collecting, crop mutations, and even a bit of friendly thievery between neighbors.
You start small — a few carrot seeds, a plot of dirt, and not much else. From there you grow and sell crops to earn Shmekels (the in-game currency), unlock better seeds, hatch pets that help around the farm, and chase the rarest plant in the game: the elusive moon blossom. The 3D cartoon visuals keep things cheerful even when someone sneaks into your garden to swipe your pumpkins.
The core loop is simple: visit the seed shop, buy seeds, plant them in your garden plots, wait for them to grow, then harvest and sell. But there's a lot more going on under the surface.
There are 27 different seeds spread across six rarity tiers. Commons like carrots and strawberries are cheap and fast to grow. At the other end, prismatic crops — candy blossom, cherry blossom, sugar apple, and moon blossom — take time and investment but pay out massively. Between those extremes you'll find blueberries, tomatoes, pumpkins, watermelons, coconuts, mangoes, pineapples, and more.
Visit the Egg Shop and buy Common, Rare, or Legendary eggs. Place an egg in your garden, wait for it to hatch, and you'll have a pet — dogs, capybaras, turtles, and others — that automatically harvests crops for you. Each garden holds up to five pets. You can also buy tools like watering cans and trowels from the gear shop to speed up your workflow.
Weather events (rain, frost, desert heat, sunny skies, nighttime) can trigger rare crop mutations — Silver, Golden, Rainbow, and BIG varieties that produce way more value than normal crops. Paying attention to the weather and planting the right seeds at the right time is one of the fastest ways to scale your farm.
You can send gifts — seeds, fruits, even pets — to other players in multiplayer rooms. But watch your back: other farmers can swipe crops from your garden if you're not careful. It adds a playful risk-reward dynamic that keeps things interesting.

Growden IO hits a sweet spot between casual and deep. You can pop in for five minutes to harvest and replant, or lose an hour chasing rare mutations and hatching legendary pets. The multiplayer layer — gifting friends and stealing from rivals — adds just enough social friction to keep it from feeling like a solo grind. And because it runs entirely in the browser, there's nothing to install. If you like building and creating at your own pace, Bloxd IO offers a similar sandbox-style experience with even more modes to explore.
